Having a hard time finding shirts that properly conceal your nipples? You’re not alone – and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Puffy nipples can be a significant cause of embarrassment and worry at any age. Many men and teenagers struggle with this common issue, whether they’re physically active, in great shape, or just going about their daily lives.
The good news is that there are plenty of simple, effective ways to keep your nipples from showing through your shirts. While some people try solutions like nipple patches or tape applied directly to the skin, these can be uncomfortable and often visible under most shirts.
The real solution? A proper undershirt.
Hiding puffy nipples doesn’t have to be complicated. While there are solutions that you can apply directly to your skin, like nipple patches or tape, they’re often uncomfortable and visible under most shirts. That being said, undershirts are the way to go.
Here are a two specific undershirt styles that I’d recommend to mask puffy nipples:
Fitted undershirts have a comfortable stretch to them and are tailored to fit the torso and arms closely. They’re often made of some variation of a cotton-spandex blend.
As someone that struggles with slightly puffy nipples, fitted undershirts are a must-have in my everyday wear. Because of their snug fit, they compress the skin and minimize the visibility of puffy nipples and textured skin.
Although I prefer fitted undershirts for comfort purposes, compression undershirts the best option for more extreme cases of puffy nipples. These snug-fitting undershirts work by providing gentle compression to the chest area, smoothing out any bumps or protrusions on the skin.
They’re a great option for those of us with puffy nipples, as they smooth out any bumps or protrusions on the skin. And, as a plus, they have slimming properties.
Here are the best undershirts that I’ve been able to find that will hide men’s puffy nipples:
The Esteem Apparel Gynecomastia Chest Binder Compression Shirt is a fantastic compression tank top that targets the chest area and effectively smooths over puffy nipples. It’s soft, comfortable and breathable, making this a great option for both in and out of the gym.
My primary qualm with most compression shirts on the market is that they’re so tight and restrictive that it becomes difficult to wear them for more than a couple of hours – that being said, this shirt is just about as comfortable as it gets.

Also from Esteem Apparel, be sure to check out their Crew Neck Compression Shirt Chest Binder. For those looking for full coverage, the crew neck compression undershirt is a great alternative over a tank top compression shirt.

Manshape’s Gynecomastia Compression Shirt is designed to hide man boobs by providing firm compression throughout the chest area – but, man boobs or not, this shirt is great for hiding puffy nipples. It’s soft and reasonably lightweight and cool, and it compresses the chest area while fitting more loosely around the belly.
So, if you’re not a fan of the feel of compression shirts, this is a great “in-between” option. You’ll get all of the benefits of a compression shirt in the chest area with the comfort of a normal undershirt.
Remember that compression undershirts fit tighter than normal shirts. Order the size you’d typically wear and expect the shirt to have a snug fit.
Another important note – always ready the tag for care instructions on your compression shirts to avoid washing them incorrectly or stretching them out.

The DEVOPS Men’s Athletic Sleeveless Compression Shirt is meant for gym wear – but it’s also a great slimming and smoothing option for everyday wear. Because it’s made with a polyester-spandex blend, it feels a bit like a swimsuit. It won’t wrinkle or bunch up during prolonged wear, and it will keep you cool and comfortable no matter the occasion – and, most importantly, it hides puffy nipples.
Because of the high neck, this option may not pair well underneath your everyday wear. However, for the price you pay for this product, the quality is unbeatable. This shirt is worth a try!

Eleady’s Men’s Slimming Compression Shirt feels like a second skin. Unlike many compression shirts on the market, this shirt is made with thin, breathable fabric that blends seamlessly underneath any shirt. And, even though the fabric is thin, it will hug your body tight enough that your nipples won’t be visible.
As a plus, this brand is one of the only ones that offers a light beige shade. So, for those of us with lighter skin, this is a great undershirt to pair with white or light-colored shirts.

To finish out the list, I wanted to include a short-sleeved option for cooler months or for those of you that may prefer the feel of a short-sleeved undershirt over a tank. The KOCLES Men’s Compression Undershirt is comfortable, snug and won’t ride up. As with all of the options on this list, this undershirt is guaranteed to keep puffy nipples hidden.
I found that wearing my usual size in this undershirt left me feeling pretty uncomfortable. I’d recommend buying one or two sizes up in this product – one size up if you prefer a tight-fitting compression shirt, and two sizes up if you want your shirt to fit comfortably.
